Grace Brown is the co-founder and CEO of Andromeda Robotics, where she’s building the world’s first humanoid companion robot designed for aged care. Andromeda’s robot, Abi, lives in residents’ rooms and provides sustained companionship, cognitive engagement, and a calm, always-available presence – addressing loneliness and staff load in a category most physical AI companies overlook. Andromeda is venture-backed (Forerunner-led Series A) and operates commercial deployments across Australia today, with US deployments underway. Grace’s thesis: emotional intelligence is the missing layer of modern robotics, and the robots that scale into human-centred environments will be the ones that earn relationships, not just complete tasks.
