Jari (Jariullah) Safi is a leading architect of Physical AI and VP of AI and Computer Vision at Simbe. For nearly a decade, Jari has been the technical force behind Tally, the world’s first autonomous retail robot. From building core computer vision stacks to the launch of Tally 4.0, which utilizes NVIDIA edge computing, he has redefined how machines navigate dynamic human spaces. A Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. with a background in estimation theory, Jari bridges the gap between mathematics and enterprise solutions. He leads the Simbe team focused on deep learning, optical character recognition (OCR), and real-time shelf intelligence. Driven by the “a-ha moment” in learning, Jari is dedicated to solving the toughest robotics challenges to help businesses run more smoothly worldwide.
